Gauge Calibration &
Certification Service
As we all
know, even the best gauges lose accuracy with daily operation and
normal usage. Moreover, new industry regulations from the DOT and
NFPA make it imperative that gauges be kept accurate.
NFPA 10 5-4.1.5
Pressure
gauges used on test equipment shall be calibrated at least
semi-annually. Master gauges or dead weight testers shall be
calibrated at least annually.
CGA-1 Appendix - B
Master Gauge - Requires recalibration at lest every 12 months
Pressure
Indicating device
The pressure
indicating device that is used in the daily operation of the test
system must be recalibrated at least every six months from the
date of initial use in the test system by either a dead weight
device, an electronic pressure measuring device of appropriate
accuracy, or a master gauge.
In order to
help you keep your pressure and vacuum gauges accurate, we are
pleased to announce our new gauge calibration & certification
service. Key details are as follows: With this service, we can
calibrate your gauges ranging in size form 2" to 8" in
diameter which do not have a pressure range over 5000 psi. Any
gauge to be tested must have a calibration adjusting screw and be
in good working condition. Dry and glycerin filled gauges are
acceptable.
All gauges
will be calibrated by a certified dead weight tester and will be
deemed accurate at point of calibration or be rejected due to
excess wear or being out of adjustment range.
Any gauges
you send for calibration, that were not originally purchased from
Getz Manufacturing, must have a known accuracy range. Obviously,
calibration certificates can only be issued when your gauge has
passed known accuracy requirements.
With our new
service, you can order calibration with a 10 point test
certificate for $60 or calibration only ( no certificate) for
$50. You are responsible for UPS charges both ways.
Call the
Peoria office to order this new service. Please note that you
need to obtain a return authorization before sending us your
gauge(s). Turn around time in Peoria should not exceed 72 hours.
